Hyderabad is a historic city with numerous forts, palaces, bazaars and various influences of different dynasties. A multitude of influences has shaped the character of the city in the last 400 years. Even though Mughlas came only when Aurangzeb started annexing the southern parts of India, their limited time spent by them did leave few marks on the city of Hyderabad.
This heritage walk takes you through story of war & courage, betrayal and patriotism when the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb tried to take over the rich city of Hyderabad and his eyes were on the Fort of Golconda. It was during the Mughal Period that the famous Makkah Masijd was completed by Aurangzeb and it was him who actually fell in love with its liberal life and named the city ‘Daaruljihaad’.
